How long do you need to run them?
An electric blanket is a very efficient heater, so you usually only need to run it for 10 to 30 minutes on average. Because your doona traps warm air, you’ll stay warm all night – and you won’t need a space heater.
There are also a lot of electric blankets that come with timers. Despite having an all-night mode, we wouldn’t recommend leaving your electric blanket on all night.
